Cleaning your Finnmark Designs infrared sauna is essential in keeping your investment in your health tip top. Our saunas are made with Western Canadian cedar that we air dry to retain it’s antimicrobial benefits.

Cleaning the outside of your sauna.

We recommend using a microfiber towel and a little water to wipe down any dust. Then we strongly recommend purchasing a non-toxic beeswax wood conditioner. Do not use any chemicals on the glass. Use your microfiber towel and a little water to clean handprints and smudges.

Cleaning the inside of your sauna.

Cleaning the inside of your sauna is recommended every 20-25 sessions depending on your sweat volume. You will need a microfiber towel, organic orange oil and 320+ grit sandpaper. Lightly spray the areas you would like to clean with the organic orange oil and let sit for 10-15 minutes. Once dry, lightly sand the area with 320 grit sandpaper. All Finnmark Designs infrared saunas are built with extremely thick wood louvers. Lightly sanding them will not effect the strength or durability.
