The point of this troubleshoot will be to pinpoint what part of the sauna is causing the breaker to pop after a couple seconds when turning on. This will most likely be a back and forth from your sauna to your breaker so we appreciate the patience.
The carbon heaters (black felt) on both sides are already grounded, so manufacturing might’ve added extra ground wire that is making the breaker flip.
If you walk into your sauna, you will see 3 corners that have wire connections for the heaters. 2 in the back top corners, and 1 in the front corner. Please go ahead and unplug one connection at a time and turn the sauna on. If the breaker still pops, go ahead and plug the connection back in and move on to the next connection. Keep going down the connections one by one in each corner and notate if there is anything that happens other than the breaker popping.
Once you have figured out which connector is popping the breaker, please notate for next steps!
Go ahead and cut the ground wire (non insulated silver wire as shown in the picture below) on the connector we tested that was the issue. You can cut it 2 ways. You can cut the ground wire up top at the corner connections (easier way)...
You can also remove the black felt (carbon) heater and cut it from the connection behind that heater....
Make sure that the sauna is unplugged from the wall before you cut it, and cover the cut wire with electrical tape afterwards
Once the ground wire is cut, you can plug in your sauna, power it on and the breaker should not flip.
